TWeatherford Steps Up to Produce 3D Printed Face Masks to Combat COVID-19 TWEATHERFORD – TWeatherford, Inc., a WBENC-certified woman-owned business headquartered in Cicero, formed in 2006 offering industrial 3D printers and other additive manufacturing services. During the COVID-19 pandemic, TWeatherford’s manufacturing clients began limiting outside vendor meetings and then shutting down meetings altogether. Like many others, they had to rethink their 2020 business plan, adapt and pivot. In response and to help fight and protect against COVID-19, many design files were released to the open public to help with the shortage and demand for personal protective gear. The TWeatherford team also began printing and assembling COVID-19 protective face shields and no-touch door handles. They are also working on an injection molded N95 mask. Their printers are running 24/7, with each one printing (on average) 5 headgear pieces every 10 hours. Many manufacturers, dentist offices and hospitals have requested their face shields as they are preparing for reopening procedures and guidelines. The face shields are reusable and can be easily sanitized. During these uncertain times, TWeatherford is happy to know they can help protect our front line responders and help with the efforts to get Hoosiers back to work.
